Moral Injury and Traumatic Stress
Moral injury has been a central focus of my clinical and academic work, including my doctoral research on moral injury, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Special Operations community.
I currently co-chair the Moral Injury Special Interest Group within the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS), where I help support collaboration, education, and connection among clinicians and researchers working in this area.
Teaching and Education
I’m adjunct faculty at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where I teach in the areas of operational psychology and stress.
I’m particularly interested in helping developing clinicians understand military and operational cultures and translate psychological knowledge into effective work with these communities.
Special Operations Community
I serve as Operations Director for the SOF Network, a professional community focused on strengthening behavioral health support for the Special Operations community.
My work focuses on connecting clinicians, subject-matter experts, organizations, and resources that can improve care for service members, veterans, and their families.
Collaboration
I welcome opportunities to collaborate with people and organizations working in moral injury, traumatic stress, operational psychology, and military and veteran behavioral health.
That may include professional education and training, speaking or panel participation, consultation, writing, or projects that connect research, clinical practice, and the communities we serve.
